  1. works great if you know how to assemble them

Posted by John Douglass on 6th Dec 2014

It was a pleasant surprise that these dials used magnets since I place them on the back of 28mm WW2 vehicles to record ammo use.
The holes in the dials are tight making it very difficult to push the magnets in with your fingers.
The trick is to put the magnet on on jaw of a set of pliers, line up the magnet with the hole, slowly but firmly squeeze. Goes in great! No need for glue.
My only complaint is that the number dial should use a black disc. Numbers are alittle hard to read on clear disc. (I sprayed the back of number disc black.

  2. brittle and difficult to put together

Posted by Unknown on 29th Mar 2013

These combat dials are a hassle to put together, and the magnets fit so snugly inside the acrylic that 20% of them cracked as I tried to force them onto the magnets.

The dials are also hard to read, as the numbers are small and etched white on a clear background.

Also, this is the second time I've tried to review this product--the first one never got posted. (I wonder why?)
